Seminars at the accelerator – Sonia García Blanco

In this seminar, Sonia García Blanco (University of Twente) will describe their recent advances on the development of Al2O3 as an integrated photonic platform operating from the UV till the mid-IR. Details on the sputtering deposition process, nanofabrication of the optical waveguide channels as well as their performance in terms of optical propagation losses and optical gain in different wavelength ranges will be given. Finally, several example of applications will be discussed, including optical biosensors, LiDAR and metrology.
