Title: The CLPU: a multi-beam facility for interdisciplinary experiments

Abstract: The Centre for Ultraintense Pulsed Lasers (CLPU) is a facility included in the Spanish roadmap of singular infrastructures (ICTS), carrying out internal research, and opened to competitive access proposals of domestic and international users. High intensity lasers have opened several research paths in the last decades, ranging from future particle accelerators to advanced photon sources as much as the study of matter in extreme conditions and many others. After introducing the international framework and typical scientific cases of interest for such a class of facilities, the highlights of the current running projects and activities are displayed.
