Success of the Workshop on Technologies & Applied Research in Proton Therapy

The Workshop on Technologies & Applied Research in Proton Therapy was successfully held at the Faculty of Biology of the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM) from January 21 to 23. The event brought together nearly 200 participants, including clinical professionals, researchers, and technology experts.

The workshop was jointly organized by the Materials Microanalysis Centre (CMAM-UAM) and the Department of Applied Physics at UAM, and focused on recent advances in proton therapy, a rapidly expanding field in Spain, with ten new public centers planned, including the future center at La Paz Hospital.

The main objective of the meeting was to foster collaboration among the scientific, clinical, and technological communities.
