Title: Radiation Effects: From Basics to Translational Application

Abstract: This seminar endeavors to delineate some of the research work developed at the Institute of Biophysics, Faculty of Medicine, University of Coimbra related with radiation effects. The investigation developed tries to characterize biological consequences of both ionizing and non-ionizing radiation using in vitro cellular systems as well as in vivo experimental models.   The investigation characterizes biological consequences of both ionizing and non-ionizing radiation using in vitro cellular systems and in vivo experimental models, providing essential insights that directly can improve/ optimize clinical practice.
