Physics at UAM: Open day at the Accelerator

The Faculty of Sciences and Disclosure Commission of Physics Degree will organize in April the visit: Physics at UAM for 1st high school student and vocational training. This visit will be held on Thursday 4 April 2013. In this call have been selected several Secondary schools in Madrid, where their students will enjoy a day at UAM. Here, they will know several departments of Physics, will visit their classrooms, will observe how they perform physics experiments in their labs and will attend informative presentations on Theoretical Physics. They will also have the unique opportunity to visit the CMAM Ion Accelerator located in the Campus University and they will know their facilities and will perform the steps of an experiment designed for them.

For more information about this open day, you can visitr our facebook.

Celebrating 10 years of CMAM

To celebrate the tenth anniversary of the CMAM inauguration, which took place on March 23  2003, the UAM and the Centre organize a two days event. On March 11 the Rector of the UAM, prof. José Maria Sanz Martinez will chair the official celebration ceremony which will take place in the theatre of Pavillion C having as special guest the first CMAM director, prof. Fernando Agulló López. On March 12 (same site) the CMAM former director, prof. Aurelio Climent Font will chair a scientific day where the major achievements of the ten years activity will be reviewed by the CMAM members and collaborators.

1st Supervision Audit to ISO 9001:2008 for the Delivery of Ion Beams of CMAM

On February 8th, it took place the 1st follow-up audit by the certification company SGS ICS Ibérica,  to the QMS (Quality Management System)  implanted in CMAM under the Standard ISO 9001:2008 the scope of which is the Delivery of Ion Beams. The results of this process show that we continue to work rigorously in the constant pursuit of excellence within the CEI UAM + CSIC as a center and infrastructure of the Autonomous University of Madrid.
